The great thing about Gingrich having to defend his immgration policy instead of all of his other scummery is that the majority of “illegal immigrants” are not breaking the law. It is not a criminal offense to overstay your visa, it is a civil offense. And, better yet, they are leaving back to Mexico on their own because the U.S. economy is currently inhabiting the bottom of a toilet. I would much rather hear him talk about why he took $1.6 million from Freddie Mac or his work for Big Pharma. Possibly he could also enlighten us on how a love for your country can make you cheat on your cancer diagnosed wife. Unless of course, Country was a pet name for one of his mistresses.
